Jungki Kwan Midwest is the Premier Orthodox Hapkido Organization in the Central United States. Dedicated to teaching Traditional Hapkido in the lineage of the founder of Hapkido, Dojunim Choi, Yong Sul.
Jungki Kwan Midwest are students of Hapkido through the longest training student of Dojunim Choi, Yong Sul, Grandmaster Lim, Hyun Soo. Grandmaster Lim, Hyun Soo was a student of Dojunim Choi for 19 years, 9 of those years in special private instruction. Members of Jungki Kwan Midwest travel to Daegu, South Korea yearly to train and learn from Grandmaster Lim and the Masters of the Jungki Kwan. These trips are made available to members to experience the heritage and culture in the home of Hapkido.
It is especially important to Jungki Kwan Midwest that the original teachings of Dojunim Choi are taught unaltered - these are the techniques taught by Grandmaster Lim and the Jungki Kwan.
Membership in Jungki Kwan Midwest is not based solely on paying a fee yearly. Membership is about training, and service. Once a member is accepted, they will have the opportunity to train with Jungki Masters in the US and abroad. In addition, members can expect support from the organization to help promote and support their Jungki Kwan Programs.
Members shall have the right to earn official Jungki Kwan grading certification from Grandmaster Lim.
